Why are you no longer offering television service?
In recent years, continued changes within the cable television industry have made it difficult for us to offer traditional IPTV service at the reasonable rates you’ve come to expect from us. As a result, we are discontinuing your Vexus IPTV service, effective March 21st, 2024.
What is streaming?
Streaming video is any video content delivered over the internet. It can be TV programs, movies, short video clips, previews, etc. Some streaming services air live programming and some do not. Streaming also allows you to enjoy full seasons of some shows.
What is a streaming device and why do I need one?
How do I know if I have a Smart TV?
Manufacturers will typically indicate “smart” or “internet-enabled TV” in their branding on the TV’s packaging. You can also check the TV’s menu and settings for any options related to connecting to the internet.
What internet speed do I need to stream?
Our 100 Mb internet speed will support light streaming. However, we recommend our 500 Mb speed or higher since the faster your
internet speed, the better your streaming experience will be. We offer speeds up to 5 Gig!
Do I need a device for every TV in my home?
You will need one streaming device on each TV where you plan to watch streaming content. For Smart TVs, you won’t need an additional streaming device.
Will streaming save me money?
Depending on what services you pick, streaming may save you money compared to traditional cable TV.
Will I be able to see local news, weather channels, and sports channels if I am streaming?
Yes, our streaming video partners offer local news and weather channels along with movies, sports, and the channels you love to watch.
Will Vexus help set up my streaming service?
Yes, we offer a White Glove Installation service, where a friendly technician will help you connect up to three streaming devices. Prior to the installation, you will need to have the streaming device and the streaming service account set up. The technician will go over the features and make sure you are up and running!
Will I still need my cable TV box?
No, that will be replaced by a streaming device or your Smart TV.
Can I record my favorite shows?
Depending on the streaming platform, you may or may not be able to record shows. However, all streaming platforms allow you to access previously aired programming on demand, which makes recording shows unnecessary.
What do I need to sign up for a streaming service?
You will need your contact information, including your email address, and a debit or credit card.
Do I need a computer to set up my streaming account?
No, you can set up your streaming account on any device connected to the internet, such as a computer, laptop, tablet, or even your smartphone.
