Cameron Miller brings 25 years of telecommunications experience to the region.
June 20, 2022, Lubbock, TX – Vexus Fiber, a leading fiber service provider in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico, has hired Cameron Miller as the Regional Vice President of their East Texas and Louisiana operations.
Miller began his career in the late 90’s as the Sales and Marketing Manager at Galaxy Cablevision and was soon promoted to the position of General Manager. In 2006, he pursued an opportunity with NewWave Communications as general manager for their Western Kentucky, Illinois and Tennessee markets. After several years at NewWave, Miller joined Time Warner Cable as General Manager. Most recently, Miller was the Director of Operations for Spectrum.
“I took notice of Vexus because they do things differently,” Miller said. “Vexus not only provides quality fiber internet, but they truly care about their customers and their experience from the first call to installation and their entire experience. Most companies don’t think through each step for the customer. Vexus makes it a point to look out for their customers. I am very much looking forward to working with the Vexus team and being a part of the Tyler, TX community.”
Miller’s role of regional vice president of East Texas and Louisiana began in May of 2022. He will be based out of Tyler, TX and oversee the operations in the Tyler, Nacogdoches and Huntsville areas of Texas, as well as the Lake Charles and Covington areas of Louisiana.
“We are incredibly excited to add Cameron Miller to the Vexus team,” said Jim Gleason, president and CEO of Vexus. “With his history and vast knowledge of the telecommunications industry, he will be an incredible addition.”
Vexus has already begun network construction in every service area Miller will manage, and many homes are already eligible for service. In Tyler, construction is well underway, with service available to several hundred homes. They plan to begin construction on their retail store, located in Rose Plaza, in the early summer and are aiming to officially open the store in late fall.
“The Vexus store will offer local customer service and support for the Tyler area,” added Miller. “This location will also house the leadership, operations and dispatch teams. Most of our team are from the Tyler area, and together have about 90 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. I am so proud to be working with such a knowledgeable team.”
